MCAT Canada

MCAT Canada: What You Need to Know
The Medical College Admission Test is the standardized premed test that students take to see where they measure up against their colleagues.  The MCAT serves the same purpose for Canadian premed students as for those in America and the rest of the world: to provide a standard measure for medical schools to use to compare similar candidates to one another.

MCAT Canada: What Medical Schools in Canada Don’t Require the MCAT?
There are definitely a few.  Where the MCAT isn’t required, the school bases its decision on other factors such as (the usual) GPA, extracurricular activities, strength of letters of reference.  Currently, there are three English-language medical schools in Canada that don’t require the MCAT: the University of Ottawa, McMaster University in Hamilton, and Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
